teamed up for great walk and cook weekends
in Kerry.
Walk on two days through the
splendours of Killarney National
Park and enjoy a fun night improving
your culinary skills with Chef
Mark Doe of Just Cooking.
Mark has worked in The Ritz & The Four Seasons Hotel, London and The Merrion
Hotel, Dublin. Watch him prepare a gourmet meal for you while picking up some
culinary tips along the way. Return to the luxurious 4 star Randles Court hotel,
Killarney where you will spend two nights.
Day 1 Arrival - Cookery Demonstration/Dinner
Arrive Killarney – Check into 4**** Randles Court Hotel with the option
of spa treatments or simply discovering Killarney’s café’s,
book & craft shops and pubs.
18.30 Transfer
to Cookery School
A fun cookery demonstration with Chef Mark Doe while he cooks a gourmet four
course meal for you.
21.30 Return
transfer back to Killarney.
Day 2 Guided Leisurely walk
in Killarney National Park
11.00 Meet with Go
Visit Ireland walking guide and transfer
to the start of your walk at the ruins
of Derrycunnihy Church.
This leg of the Kerry Way is all within Killarney National Park, habitat of
the only pure herd of Irish Red Deer. Starting in the ancient oak woods of
Derrycunnihy, you can walk the line of the Old Kenmare Road, regarded in medieval
times as the most westerly route in the world! Cores Cascade could be the ideal
lunch stop in the moor/bogland beneath Mangerton and Torc mountains. Views
and opportunities for photographs continue on the descent beside the spectacular
Torc Cascade and the stroll by Muckross Lake into the gardens of Muckross House
(19th century mansion), with its welcoming teashop. There is the option of
extending the walk to visit to the ruins of Muckross Friary (15th century).

Day 3 Guided Leisurely Walk & Boat
Trip.
10.30 Meet with the
Go Visit Ireland guide and transfer
to the start of your walk at Ross Castle
(16th Century).
We start the day with a short walk visiting the site of one of Europe’s
most important Bronze Age Copper Mines (2400 BC), and an abundance of native
wild flora and spectacular views of the lakes and mountains. We then board
the traditional boats at Ross Castle and glide over the deep waters of Loch
Lein to the Island of Innisfallen, one of the great early Christian ecclesiastical
sites of Ireland and once education centre to Ireland’s great nobility.
Visit the old ruins of the Abbey dating back to the 7th Century.
15.00 Departure
for home late afternoon after
a fun weekend of great walks,
meals and new cookery skills
to boot!
