Mark has worked in The Ritz & The Four Seasons Hotel, London and The Merrion Hotel, Dublin. Watch him prepare a gourmet meal for you while picking up some culinary tips along the way. Return to the luxurious 4 star Randles Court hotel, Killarney where you will spend two nights.

Day 2 Guided Leisurely walk in Killarney National Park
11.00 Meet with Go Visit Ireland walking guide and transfer to the start of your walk at the ruins of Derrycunnihy Church.

This leg of the Kerry Way is all within Killarney National Park, habitat of the only pure herd of Irish Red Deer. Starting in the ancient oak woods of Derrycunnihy, you can walk the line of the Old Kenmare Road, regarded in medieval times as the most westerly route in the world! Cores Cascade could be the ideal lunch stop in the moor/bogland beneath Mangerton and Torc mountains. Views and opportunities for photographs continue on the descent beside the spectacular Torc Cascade and the stroll by Muckross Lake into the gardens of Muckross House (19th century mansion), with its welcoming teashop. There is the option of extending the walk to visit to the ruins of Muckross Friary (15th century).

Distance: 10.5km/6.5miles

Enjoy a well deserved four course dinner at hotel.

Day 3 Guided Leisurely Walk & Boat Trip.
10.30 Meet with the Go Visit Ireland guide and transfer to the start of your walk at Ross Castle (16th Century).

We start the day with a short walk visiting the site of one of Europe’s most important Bronze Age Copper Mines (2400 BC), and an abundance of native wild flora and spectacular views of the lakes and mountains. We then board the traditional boats at Ross Castle and glide over the deep waters of Loch Lein to the Island of Innisfallen, one of the great early Christian ecclesiastical sites of Ireland and once education centre to Ireland’s great nobility. Visit the old ruins of the Abbey dating back to the 7th Century.

15.00 Departure for home late afternoon after a fun weekend of great walks, meals and new cookery skills to boot!
